biography.

The music of Geritt W. Davenport spans across many mediums from solo, chamber, wind band, and the marching arts, to the commercial medias of music for film, trailers, games, and advertising. A native of Rockdale, Texas he began his career in music composition in the year 2011. Currently pursuing a degree in Music Composition at the University of North Texas in Denton. Davenport’s music for the concert stage and marching arts are published by his publishing company, TUX People’s Music. His commercial music is published by his record label, Mandaloria. He is a current member of Society of Composers Inc.(SCI), American Composers forum (ACF) and American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
 
As an avid musician from an early age, he is participant in many of the musical ensembles in the community and surrounding areas. With Trumpet as his primary instrument, Davenport marched in Drum Corps International's Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps in the 2015 and 2016 seasons and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps in 2017.

Davenport founded TUX People's Music (The Unbelievable Xperience of People's Music) in early 2016 to bring emotional works for mediums of the stage, stands, field, to audiences everywhere. As the official publisher and distributor of all his concert and marching works. His company TUX People's Music aims to help groups and composers small and large to produce equally quality and awe inspiring products. Creating beautiful and inspiring works for concert stage ensembles and crowd exiting marching works of all types and levels. 

TUX People's Music is an ASCAP Publisher.
