biography.
Laura Pulley began studying music at the age of five, first taking piano lessons, followed by cello and voice lessons. Throughout high school, she participated in choir, orchestra, and marching band. She attended college at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she pursued a vocal music education degree. She participated in many ensembles, including Lipscomb’s A Cappella Singers, Chamber Singers, and Chamber Orchestra. During her junior year, she began studying composition under Dr. Jerome Reed, and continued taking lessons during her student teaching semester from Dr. Benjamin Blasko. During her college years, she became a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Society of Composers, Inc., and Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society. In December of 2019, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, and became a certified teacher in the state of Tennessee.
