DRAKE A. WHEELER.

biography.

Drake Wheeler (ASCAP) (b. 2002) is a composer whose pieces widely range from marching field shows, to wind ensemble. He grew up in southern Kentucky where he spent most of his time outdoors and exploring. When his family moved to Memphis, TN sophomore year of high school he turned to music.

As a natural piano player, he picked up the Saxophone in 6th Grade and furthered his interest in music by learning several brass and string instruments on his own. Drake gathers inspiration from notable contemporary composers such as Christopher Tin and Jeremy Shusterman as well as took his own experience in wind ensembles and orchestras. As years passed by he began to develop and create more elaborate work with the idea of bringing a different experience to the musicians.

He is currently at CBU (Christian Brothers University) in order to achieve a Bachelor's in Business Management. In his future he hopes to support and sponsor music programs as well as having his works performed and heard.
