Cindy Hill is a teacher and violist from Texas. Mrs. Hill received her Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State University, studying composition with Kip Wile. She received her MA from DBU.
Mrs. Hill's goal when composing is to teach concepts, fill in gaps where school orchestra literature is scarce, and to always create music that is enjoyable and will help promote lifetime music lovers. Mrs. Hill's music is always creative and exciting with a unique flare all her own. Her music includes equally challenging parts for all instruments. Mrs. Hill's music has been featured at the Midwest Clinic, the American String Teacher’s Association, and the Texas Orchestra Director’s Association. Six of her pieces can be found on JW Pepper's Editor's Choice list and four of her pieces can be found on the Texas UIL PML list. Mrs. Hill has taught orchestra at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, as well as private lessons. Students and audiences enjoy compositions written just for them. Mrs. Hill hopes your students will get as much pleasure out of playing her music as she enjoyed creating it. |
