biography.
Kaori Nakano is currently an instructor at the Yamaha Popular Music School in Japan. She is a Jazz pianist, arranger, and composer. The Semi-finalist of the International Songwriting Competition in the 2011 jazz category and one of the 2013 Black House Saxophone Quartet Composition Competition winners.
Her works have been performed by the New York Philharmonic's Satoshi Okamoto and Pascual Martines Forteza in 2012, the New Thread Quartet in 2014 apart of the series "Fifteen Minutes of Fame". Her "Improvisation for Flute" was performed and recorded by Dr. Iwona Glinka and included on Glinka's album "TWO MUTINIES for solo flute" in 2019. Winning the Global Music Awards -outstanding achievement -Silver medal with this album. |
