LEE MITCHELL.

biography.

Mitchell is an English born American who began the study of guitar at 10 years old. By the age of 16 he was writing songs and playing on the folk circuit in England. On a chance meeting he was fortunate to encounter the now world-famous guitar legend Mark Knopfler - who encouraged him to follow his path. Many years later Mitchell began to record his song repertoire and began to take an interest in transcribing his own instrumentals for strings and piano. In the UK 2006 Spartan Press published a six-book series entitled: “Classical Masters for Acoustic Guitar” still in print. He moved to America in 2011 and married his wife Kelly. They live in Montana. He still continues to follow the love of transcribing his own instrumentals into music for other instruments.
