biography.
Brett Boyd is an avid composer, arranger, sound designer, hornist, vocalist, and designer from the Nashville TN area. Known for his eagerness to explore, Brett has built up a catalog of award-winning film and videogame scoring work, published concert music with T.U.X. People's Music, worked alongside artists Cody Fry, Tommee Profitt, and Andrea Bocelli, participated in multiple choir and wind ensembles, and embarked on numerous other creative endeavors, including videogame development, website design, and animation. To say that Brett possesses a strong creative drive would be an understatement.
Brett draws inspiration from film scores, game scores, classical pieces, and anything else that has the power to convey emotion and instill feelings. His specialty is creating a detailed and unique soundscape in every project, quite literally focusing on the "sound" until it's just right. Whether he's composing a film score or a piece for concert choir, Brett always creates something sonically fresh. This attention to detail also manifests itself in Brett's sound design and arranging work. With a rich background in choir and French horn, Brett's experience as a musician strongly shapes his compositions, with beautiful melodies, lush independent lines, and, of course, epic French horn moments finding plenty of places in his work. With an enormous range well over three octaves, his voice has found its way into more and more scoring projects, adding a truly one-of-a-kind texture to his tapestry of orchestral, electronic, and nontraditional instruments. Brett graduated from Lipscomb University in 2023 and currently resides in Nashville, TN. |
