biography.
José Jesús Martínez Espuig (b. 1993) began his musical studies at the school of music “Santa Cecilia” of Alcàsser. Subsequently, he was admitted to the “José Manuel Izquierdo” Conservatory of Catarroja in the specialty of flute-interpretation. Finally, he finished his flute degree at the “Joaquin Rodrigo” Conservatory in Valencia, achieving an honorable mention. Currently, he is studying composition in “Hochschüle für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn” of Leipzig.
In these years, his works and arrangements have been programmed in renown events like the “City of Valencia International Band Contest”. In addition, he has been awarded several times in a variety of composition contests such as “Música Jove” of Benimaclet (València) and the “International Antonín Dvorák Composition competition”, being the first Spaniard to receive a first place distinction. |
