biography.
Dario Duarte is a composer, pianist and researcher from Argentina. He has a master's degree in Art Education from the National University of Rosario and a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of San Martín. His works were premiered in USA, Italy, Hungary, Germany and Argentina. His compositions include works for chamber music, solo instruments, opera and orchestra. He has been invited as a speaker at different conferences on music.
In 2021, he was awarded for his work Micro Suite for Viola solo by the Northern California Viola Society. In 2022, he received a creation grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (Argentina) for SOMA, his science fiction opera for chamber ensemble. He currently teaches at the School of Humanities at the Universidad Nacional de San Martin and at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel de Falla of Buenos Aires. |
