biography.
Vadim D. Genin, Born in 1993 in Saratov, Russia. With a degree in Music Theory, he graduated with honors from the Department of Secondary Special Education of the Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinova. Her was a participant of the St. Petersburg International New Music Festival “reMusik.org” (2021), where the piece “The Song I Dedicated To The Most Beautiful Girl in The School” was performed by the Ensemble Recherche, the composer readings in Kazan (2019), in Moscow (2020), and in Nizhny Novgorod (2021), organized by the Union of Composers of Russia with the participation of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME). Genin also has won a scholarship from the Union of Composers of Russia based on the results of Composer readings in Nizhny Novgorod 2021. He also was a participant in the VI International Online Seminar-Forum “Tseh-2020” and the Folklore Workshop, according to the results of which the score “Mosquito's Bald” was selected for performance by Dmitry Pokrovsky's Ensemble. His works have been featured as apart of the VI International Symphony Seminar-Forum of the CIS Countries named after Michal-Kleafas Oginsky: composition of the “FFU!!rrrrrYY!” for a symphony orchestra, selected for
performance in the Gala Concert. In addition to participating in the II online forum-seminar for young composers “Tseh-2020”, organized by the “International MolOt” with the participation of the St. Petersburg MolOt-Ensemble and the Perm theater “Evgeny Panfilov's Ballet”: composing a miniballet for the ensemble and tape “Game/Play”. Genin is a physicist by education, but explores the variety of the connection between music and science, while exploring ways of translating scientific ideas into art. He also serves as an author and lecturer at the Interactive Music Lectorium “At the Frequencies of Arbitrariness”, dedicated to trends in contemporary music, called “Vadim Genin’s Lectorium”. |
