biography.
A native of Colorado, Leland has been writing music since 7th grade when his orchestra teacher started encouraging him to put his music on paper. In high school he fell in love with arranging and songwriting. As a result, he attended Lee University, where he studied composition under David Holsinger, Arranging under Lari Goss, and Songwriting under Babbie Mason. Leland also has an interest in Ethnomusicology, and endeavors to integrate musical ideas and theories from multiple cultures. Leland holds a Bachelors in Applied Voice and a Masters of Church Music with emphasis in Composition from Lee University.
