biography.
Caleb Brandon was born in Clovis, NM. His parents provided him a wide variety of opportunities in the areas of music and sports but it was towards music that he felt the strongest pull. He began singing and playing the oboe at an early age. His involvement in music within his church and school life grew as he did. His artistic experiences blossomed during his college years at Eastern New Mexico University participating in virtually every ensemble, instrumental and vocal, available at that time including theatrical musicals and plays, as well as writing music. Life decisions led him from college into a working career. His artistic endeavors continued at Clovis Community College’s theatre department where he met his beautiful wife who shares his love of music and art. Both pursued this love becoming involved with regional independent film projects and as founding members, and former presidents, of the Brickstreet Players Community Theatre. Working full time for BNSF railway, Caleb completed his bachelor’s degree in Music, with a minor in Theory and Composition, from ENMU in 2017 under the direction of Dr. Mark Dal Porto and a master’s degree in Theory and Composition from WTAMU in 2022 under the direction of Dr. B.J. Brooks. He left BNSF for a job with WTAMU giving him more time with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
