biography.

Mikayla Bauer is a composer, conductor, and music educator based in Oakley, Kansas. In 2018, Mikayla graduated from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas with a degree in Music Education. She is currently working on her Master's Degree from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas in Building Principal Educational Administration and is expected to finish in May of 2023.

​Mikayla's passion for teaching the next generation of musicians has motivated her to write pieces that will allow for 5th-12th grade students to grow. As Mikayla heads into her fifth year of teaching, she hopes that her works will help other educators find pieces that add depth and texture to their repertoire.
