biography.

Pixel is the alias for artist and educator Evan Combs (b. 1988). Evan holds degrees in computer  music composition (Peabody), percussion and education (CUNY Queens), and business  management (EGCC). He has spent his career developing educational experiences for learners  across all ages and demographics. His compositions focus on giving musicians opportunities to  respond, connect, and create dynamic performances. He works full-time as a leader of learning  and development, innovating adult education strategies for businesses, non-profits, and higher  education. Previously, he worked designing and implementing K-12 curriculum with Pearson  Online and Blended Learning and The Juilliard School.

Evan resides in Maryland and supports the local community college and public schools through  teaching and program development. He enjoys painting, teaching, and exploring museums with  his wife, son, and daughter.
