So, why have I decided to call this piece Flowers from Heaven? It might be to your surprise, the most important word in the title is not ‘flowers’, and it’s not ‘heaven’ either. It’s actually the word ‘from’! Since 2017, I’ve always been dreaming of receiving a flower from my grandpa, who is currently watching us from above. I’ve always been wondering: if we are able to communicate with our loved ones after they arrive in heaven, would we still be afraid of departures anymore? Therefore, I’d like to dedicate this song to my grandpa, and to the millions of families who have lost their loved ones during this pandemic, who have to go through the same pain and anguish that I’ve been through. And, if there is someone that you deeply love and miss, this is for you.
