Words from Traditional Latin / Music by Brock Willard
Brock Willard's take on the traditional Agnus Dei is as unique as it is refreshing! Willard's sound is spectral and ephemeral, but remains grounded to create a masterwork of harmony that subverts the audience's expectations of this otherwise classic text.

This setting of the Agnus Dei text from the Ordinary of the Mass takes a "spectral" approach over a melodic one; that is to say that the experience of the harmony takes a central role. Many composers add texts to the standard texts and this piece adds the Latin words "res miranda," typically seen with Nativity topics. The piece is inspired by the a cappella music of composers like Eric Whitacre, Jake Runestad, Fredrik Sixten, and Samuel Barber.
