A life filled with hardships, triumphs, and mysteries to solve. This piece reflects the life of a cat from beginning to end. Working to evoke all the delights and sadness of a life well lived. Macska or "Cat" in the Hungarian language ponders the mysterious life and misadventures of the everyday house cat. As this work begins, we are invited explore the open world and all it's wonder through the eyes of a feline. Curiosity and excitement abound as more of the piece unfolds. As well as curiosity, we are led to ponder the more passive nature of the cat. Basking in the sun, gazing at the birds above, and napping hours on end. As the piece builds back up and down yet again, we can hear the turbulent nature of a cat's life unfold. From peaceful naps to death defying balancing acts, we are never short of surprises when witnessing yet another antic. But as the music dies down for a final time, we are urged to reflect on the inevitable process of age. As the piece makes a close, we look to and remember the journey that led us to this triumphant culmination.
