about.

Addison Wong fuses classical and jazz in this 20th-century inspired concerto for piano and orchestra. Wong explores several styles throughout its ten minutes, making it a perfect opener or closer for your program!

With an epic opening and exciting ending, this piano concerto takes audience back to the third stream movement in the 20th century when composers celebrated fusion of classical music and jazz. Each family in the orchestra is featured with distinct themes. The piano solo part travels genres between Latin, Broadway musical, jazz and classical, while the orchestra dances through aggressive and emotional sections. The drum part is also featured with solo-like passages. This piece can serve as an overture or a grand finale of a concert.
